Les Couarres V18 is one of the prestige cuvees of Chartogne Taillet, a small vigneron in Champagne.
It is produced with pinot noir grapes from Merfy, in the Montagne de Reims. Before refermentation in the bottle, it rests for about 1 year in small oak barrels, followed by a 4-year rest sur lie. The final dosage is low, around 4g/l.
Les Couarres V18 Chartogne Taillet is a champagne with an exceptional bouquet, with fresh and iodine notes that follow typical hints of small red fruits and roasting; the sip is a masterpiece, full and tasty but with an incredible freshness and flavor, which makes drinking dynamic and enjoyable.
