Montevertine 2018 75 cl Montevertine
MontevertineMontevertine is a full-bodied, fragrant red wine with excellent evolutionary potential. A splendid expression of Sangiovese Chianti, aged 24 months in oak barrels, is balanced and satisfying, with spicy notes, sweetly fruity with hints of red fruits, and licorice.
Montevertine is a red wine that takes its name from its producing cellar: Montevertine. This surprising red pays homage to its territory by enclosing typical characteristics of the Sangiovese that grows on the Chianti hills.
The grapes that compose it are: Sangiovese 90%, Canaiolo 5% and Colorino 5%, organically grown certified with the spurred cordon system, on hills at about 400 meters above sea level, facing south, south-east.
The Montevertine harvest is done manually and then crushed, in order to subject the must to alcoholic fermentation for 25 days in cement tanks and malolactic fermentation, always in concrete tanks. Then follows the refinement in Slavonian oak barrels for 24 months, which ends in the bottle for a further 6 months.
This Montevertine red is ruby red in color, tending towards garnet. With a refined and rich bouquet of spicy hints and sweet notes of red fruits, cherries, raspberries and licorice. Full-bodied on the palate, complex and balanced, with a persistent finish, all to be enjoyed.
