Le Difese Tenuta San Guido is a Tuscan red wine of great elegance. The union between the Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese vines and the aging in French barriques make it an extremely full-bodied, round and velvety wine.
Le Difese is a dry red wine that is produced in the area of Bolgheri, in Tuscany.
Composed of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Sangiovese, it is vinified through a soft pressing of the grapes, subsequently subjected to fermentation in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature and to maceration on the skins for 9-12 days the Cabernet Sauvignon and about Sangiovese for 15-18 days, with successive phases of pumping over of the musts to soften the tannins of the wine and then proceed to the malolactic fermentation.
At the end of these steps, the wine is aged for about 12 months in French oak barrels. Finally the bottling and aging that takes place in glass for 3 months before being marketed.
Le Difese Tenuta San Guido is a wonderful wine that has an intense ruby red color.
On the nose the fruity aromas are exposed, bursting into complex and persistent notes.
The flavor is structured and intense, full and full-bodied, with extremely pleasant hints. Excellent to combine with red meats or aged cheeses.
