Barolo DOCG 2018 75 cl Bartolo Mascarello
MascarelloBarolo Bartolo Mascarello is an icon among Baroli. One of those wines to drink at least once in a lifetime!
Bartolo Mascarello is the progenitor of the group of more traditionalist barolo makers, who have always rejected the use of the barrique and, instead of making wine from the individual vineyards, have always preferred to blend the grapes of the different vineyards, in this case all located in Barolo and La Morra , to produce a single Barolo, with unique harmony and balance.
Since Maria Teresa, the daughter of Bartolo Mascarello, took over the company, while maintaining faith in the production canons of her father, her wines have acquired greater finesse and delicacy.
It is produced with 100% Nebbiolo grapes from the Canubbi, San Lorenzo, Rué, Rocche vineyards and aged in large Slavonian barrels.
Barolo Bartolo Mascarello has a garnet red colour. The nose is dominated by notes of dried flowers, red fruits and spices. In the mouth it is impressive due to its remarkable structure, warm and enveloping, with tannins of extraordinary finesse and a finish of great persistence.
To be combined with truffled red meats, braised meats, roast beef and aged hard cheeses.
You can't say you've drunk Barolo until you try Bartolo Mascarello.
